Tipson how to customize the Audiovox 8900?

Hello again-

Here I go, seeking advice from you all...

We recently acquired a family pak of Audiovox 8900 phones, 4 to be precise.
Good phone so far, except for the small keypad...

Anyway, I just went through the manual - what a boring read - and actually
found very little of interest there on what I can actually do to customize
the phones.
Yeah, I saw the part about the included ringers and such, but I'm looking
for more,
stuff like how to delete the oh-so annoying welcome screen or change the
greeting message.
Anyone have any tips or any idea on where I can finds this type of info?

Again, any information you have is greatly appreciated.
