"The device is offered as a backup phone and while it won?t really impress anyone these days"

As if to say it's a bad thing. Sigh humanity and its socialistic way of thought.....

-_- *facepalm*

Might actually get it. I was thinking about get a phone (so many years with out one).

Anyways... the thing about it not having a screen it perfect just because then i can ACTUALLY remember number instead of just leaving a $100 dollar phone do that job for me.

Fantastic! exactly what i believed to be a "dead good thing", a phone, that IS A PHONE! not a stupid "all in one gadget" that i wont use half of the fonctions. Really, it's one of the best gadget built since long! now just wait some time to see these things in 1$ shops ;)

This is actually a really good idea. I know a bunch of people that don't have cell phones and this would be great for them. Just buy one and thow in a few minutes and you're good to go. I can't believe it took this long for this product to come out.

I can see people wanting this. My needs are modest but I still want more than just dialing and answering.

This is what I want someone to make. Basic caller ID, numbers directory, speakerphone, a switch between vibrate, ring and silent and that it looks like a Star Trek TOS communicator. With the flipping chirping noise:p

Who is this for people? People with basic landline phones without caller ID or anything else.

The Just5 cell phone is still the best simple and basic phone that I consider. This is an affordable phone that comes with cheap prepaid plan options starting from 10 dollars every month. I can call and send text messages with this phone and I can also rely on it during emergencies. Just5 is equipped with PERS features that can call for help when needed in a press of a button. I learned about this phone at www.just5.com.
