to increase volume of normal speaker

i have a small speaker .I wanted to increase the volume of it connecting with my mobile using a headphone cable.What I should do?

A "normal" speaker requires an amplifier. Is this actually an amplified speaker with an RCA or 3.5mm connection or does it have two bare wire connections?
