They're actually quite durable and sturdy. Being a Maglite fan myself, I still love keeping this smaller flashlight around. Not every scenario calls for a foot-long, bash-your-head-in Maglite (even if they are awesome).

Yes, I really like a good flashlight as much as the next guy ....

Except that this is a Tom's Guide Flashlight which makes ALL the difference.
