Too many remotes: Is it possible to turn on a 2015 Vizio 3.1 soundbar using a 2015 Samsung SmartTV remote?

I recently purchased a 2015 Vizio soundbar and hooked it up to my 2015 Samsung Smart TV with an optical cable (there are no HDMI ports on the soundbar). Each came with its own remote. I also have an Amino IPTV STB connected to the TV via HDMI. My cable company issued a Universal Electronics Potenza ST universal remote to use with the STB. I would like the soundbar to turn on automatically when I power on the TV. I’ve read all of the manuals but cannot figure out how to do it. Is this possible with my current setup? What would my ideal setup be to minimize remotes and make things work efficiently?

Unless your Vizio soundbar has learning function so it can be operated by other remotes your only option would be to use a universal remote such as a Logitech Harmony. These are programmed online so that one remote will turn on and operate any combination of equipment.
