hang-the-9 :
If your LCD on the laptop is out, doing a system restore won't help if that is what you are trying to do to fix the issue. You either need a new Backlight, a new Inverter or a whole new LCD pannel.
I was doing a recovery because Im trying to restore old laptop. I will explain step by step what I do and what happens.
1. Power up holding the FN and F5 so I can use desktop monitor since laptop lcd is gone.
2. When Tosiba window comes up I let it run to Windows then it automatically switchs back to blank laptop lcd
So I try to do this
1. Power up holding the FN and F5 to use desktop monitor
2. Let the Toshiba window come up then hit F8
3. Enable VGA Mode and the Windows sign comes up then a box saying it needs to adjust resolution. After that it goes back to the laptop blank screen again.
I started a recovery on the laptop using the desktop monitor just fine but once it had to restart itself I can't get back in to complete recovery. How can I keep the desktop monitor from switching back to the blank white laptop screen?
