Toshiba keeps turning off!

I am at my wits end. I have bought it to Geek Squad six times and my Toshiba satellite still keeps shutting down at random. Sometimes I get to use it for a few hours and other times it turns off immediately. Everything has been checked (fan, drivers, battery, charger, etc.), so I don't know what else to do.

What are you doing when it turns off? It could be something as simple as overheating, which can happen even if your fans are working. The more information you can provide us with, the better your chances of getting some advice that works.

Chances are that this is either a thermal problem or it's an electrical issue. Those are the only two things that tend to cause sudden power failures. If it's heat, that can be fixed with new thermal compound, cooling system modifications, a laptop cooler, etc. Or if the cooling system is damaged, then the laptop needs to be serviced by the manufacturer.

If the problem is electrical, it would need to go to the manufacturer for service. There's not much you can do in this scenario. Often times, the board and/or the battery and/or the charger need replaced.

Power switch failure. You'll hear lots of solutions/causes, but it seems this is the real issue.
