Toshiba l455d-s5976 wi-fi works but light stays red?

My newly acquired Toshiba Satellite L675D-S7107 wireless communication indicator light on the front glows a steady red (amber?) color. I have tried searching forums and in the Toshiba User's Guide to no avail. Seems like no one that knows wants to answer this question on the amber or red light staying on.
