I need your help please!!

I have a toshiba lapetop and trying to connect it to my satellite receiver for software update, as you all may know that the laptope does not have serial port, any advise hoe to connect the a 9 bin socket

USB to Serial Adapter like this http/www.amazon.co.uk/Keyspan-High-Speed-Serial-Adapter/dp/B000067TGW should be able to get cheaper ones though.
