Toshiba Model 55G310U

I have a Toshuba model Number 55G310U. It used to have an issue where the power light would come on but the screen would not and I could not power it off. Now however it was working briefly but the screen went black. The power light will turn on and off but the screen does not come on. Is there a definite issue that I could repair on my own?

Could be the system board, or the power board, could be a bad screen also. You can open it and look over the electronics for any issues such as puffy or popped capacitors, burn marks.
