Toshiba P55W B5224 Hardrive and Ram Upgrade Help

From my research it looks like Toshiba says these units are not upgrade able, but looking elsewhere, including this forum, it appears it is. My current system needs a boost. I have a 8g of Ram and 1tb hard drive. I've been advised that going up to 16g, swapping in an SSD and doing a fresh Windows 10 install without all the bloatware may do the trick.

Here's my problem, what RAM and HD do I buy. Links would be best to keep things simple! Thanks!

They are upgradable buts it's not exactly easy. To replace the ram and HDD you have to tear the system down quite a ways. I have the P55W-B5220 and I replaced my HDD with an SSD. There a a few video teardowns on Youtube(search for P55W teardown) that you should watch to see if you will feel comfortable tearing it down that far.

Yes. Currently using a 500Gb MX200 in my laptop. I have used their ram numerous times aswell.
