Solved! Toshiba P55W-C5316 2in1 4k screen won't work

My P55W-C5316 turns on and runs normal on a external monitor but the laptop screen won't turn on. When I put a flashlight on the screen I can see parts of the screen. Thinking it was the backlight I bought a new screen panel and it does the same thing on the new one. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? I have also tried updating the display drivers. Uninstalling the display drivers. I have also tried rebooting windows 10 with a fresh reinstall.

Sounds like the backlight is in need of replacing.

That's what I thought at first which is why I bought a new led screen to replace the old one and it does the same thing on the new screen.

It could be a flaw in the new screen, or it could be that the backlight isn't in the display itself on that model. Unsure, I have not opened that one up.

The backlight is in the screen, i'm gonna try buying a new video cable for it and see if that works. Since led screens don't use an inverter it has to be the cable or the new screen is faulty. I have no clue what else it could be.
