toshiba satellite, battery light blinks, will not turn on with new battery

Toshiba satellite C-55 B5350 battery indicator says "consider replacing battery" when I replace the battery, battery light blinks, will not turn on even when plugged in, with old battery reinstalled it turns on. I've tried 2 battery's and confirmed part # is correct replacement battery.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I travel often and this computer works fine with the old battery installed. But will not even come on with the new battery installed. ?

Thanks for this suggestion, but this is my travel computer. Besides this computer works fine with the old battery in, but will not even turn on with the new battery. I believe it is either a setting or non-compatible battery. ?
