My keyboard spacebar and tab keys are not working. Is there anything that I can do to get them to work? My computer is about 4-5 years old. I plugged in a desktop keyboard to get work done for now. Is it more cost effective to just get a new laptop instead of replacing the keyboard? How much is a keyboard replacement? Any good deals on laptops out there?
Thank you for any help

Solution
Try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't work, and the external keyboard worked fine, you may well need to replace the attached one. And usually a keyboard is a lot cheaper to replace than to get a new device. That said, if you are wanting to upgrade, then a new device might be wise.
