Trying to locate the CMOS battery on a Toshiba Satelitte L300 laptop - can see motherboard - but not battery - can anyone help ?

I assume then that you checked under the various panels on the underside of it? If not, give that a try. Otherwise, you may have to tear into it a bit. Have a look at the disassembly guide at the top of the forum for a general idea on how to proceed.
