toshiba satellite l55t a5290 Stuck on "toshiba leading innovations" screen

My toshiba satellite l55t a5290 powers on and just stays on the Toshiba Leading Innovations screen. This laptop never leaves my room and is only used for homework, last time this happened the IT people at my University said they had to replace the hard drive. I'm hoping there is a simpler solution because I won't want to keep paying $100, and there isn't anything this laptop is used for that could cause this recurring problem so I'm not really sure what the issue is. Does anyone know anything about this, all the solutions I read online about other models of Toshiba haven't work.

My Toshiba Satelite L55t-A5290, is stuck on the “Toshiba Leading Innovations” screen when I turn it on. There no option to prompt anything, and alll of the other threads on here for different Toshibas, have not worked as a solution to this problem. Last year this same thing happened and the IT people at my university said that I needed a new hardrive costing me $100. Now the exact same thing has happened again, and because I don’t use my laptop for anything other than school work and it doesn’t leave my bedroom, I Have no clue as to why this problem is reoccurring. Please help me!
