Toshiba Satellite L645D Skipping

I have a Toshiba Satellite L645D and it, for lack of better terms, skips frequently no matter what im doing, I'm not talking audio or video lag or skipping but programs and all. Its like the computer freezes for a second or two, sometimes a few more than that. I was thinking i may need to up my RAM. But then again it could be a CPU problem. Any suggestions of what it could be or how to figure out what it is would be wonderful! Thanks in advance!!

Just a quick one to start. Can you run dxdiag and post the text file in here so I can take a look at your hardware specs, drivers etc?
