Toshiba satellite L650-12Q / sony vaio E series / acer aspire 5740

Hi

I'm finding it difficult to decide between the sony vaio VPC-EB1E0E,
the toshiba satellite L650-12K.

Do you recommend one over the other? (need it for uni + watching movies/youtube and music etc.

Both have the specs I need.
The sony vaio is beautiful, however I've been told a lot about they're awful battery life.

Does the Toshiba have a much better battery life or would they be relatively the same considering they have the same processor (i3-330M)?
But even if they we're the sameish -would the Toshiba's battery life stay better than the viao's a few years down the line?
