Toshiba Satellite laptop doesn't turn on and has blinking orange light

I was doing a hard drive scan with AVG and my laptop screen went black. Now it won't turn on and it flashes and orange light. Help! Laptop isn't even 6 months old!

Try a reset...

1. Remove battery, and disconnect mains adapter.

2. Press and hold down power ON button for 30secs at least.

3. Put the battery back.

4. Plug in mains adapter then Power ON as normal.

For some reason I had the same problem, my power suply was set to 16V instead of 19.5, so I just set it back to 19.5 and everything was fine.

Check your power supply and it's voltage

i have the same problem. Took battery out and pressed button but nothing. My orange light is staying on though and not flashing.
