Toshiba satellite laptop no bootable device

My laptop keeps telling me there is no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. I have my windows disk in there and it isnt doing anything.
It also says
Check cable connection!
PXE-MOF : Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

I have no idea about computers at all and I need help! would the people at geek squad or laptop exchange be able to fix it and or help me EDITED OUT EMAIL -MODERATOR

first edit and remove your e-mail to avoid spam ,after go to the bios and check if the hdd is firsrt boot the system try to boot fron a network .
