Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite E45-B4200
The battery charges fine, so I know it isn't a power supply problem. I've tried hard resets (disconnecting everything, holding the power button down for 30 seconds, etc), and nothing. When the battery is connected, and I try to turn on the laptop, the power button just flashes for a second and nothing else happens.

hahaha that old chestnut about holding the power button for 30 seconds, never does anything.
Multiple flashes (like 5) usually means MOBO failure.

Ive pulled the ram and swapped HDD's, still one flashing white power light??

anyone?

you figure out the problem yet? im dealing with the same issue on a toshiba satellite c55-b5246 battery and charger are confirmed working, even charging light works. battery in or out but plugged in, always the same result. I hit the power button, white led turns on for a few seconds then turns off. fan and screen dont even attempt to kick on..i fear the worst.
