Toshiba Satellite s55-a5375 Synaptics Touchpad Error Message

Hello!

I have version 19.0.19.1 (latest) of the driver installed. I keep getting the following error:

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the driver and can't get the issue resolved. What can I do to get this fixed? I'm leaving for a 2 week vacation on Saturday and I need the touchpad to work properly. I won't have access (or room) to use my wireless mouse in the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated asap. Thank you!

does that exe exist in that directory
try both the driver 19.0.19.1 http/www.synaptics.com/resources

I searched the directory and the file is there.

I'm not sure if the UAC control is preventing the program from working. Next to it I found the service and double-clicked that to see if it fixes the problem. The SynTPEnh Caller Service is set to automatic and is running. I'm going to try restarting the computer and seeing if that works.

Restarting did nothing. Still getting error.

I tried what the Reddit post said and it didn't work. Upon further digging, I found and followed the simple solution shown here (can't believe it was that easy; hopefully this will stick). Thank you for your help!
