toshiba sattelite's internal drive is not detected and the drive is "locked".HELP

the internal hard drive in my toshiba satellite c55 b501 not detected and is stuck in "the drive where windows is installed is locked" in the recovery mode after i boot from a flash drive.I tried the chkdsk commands and the drive is not showing up in "diskpart".PLEASE HELP!
I live in an area where it is impossible to get it fixed without deleting the data nor i can afford to buy another hard drive

Hi there afsara,

I believe that the first thing you can try to do is to just back up the most important data stored on the drive. You can try to access it under Ubuntu. You will need a CD or a flash drive so you can boot Ubuntu, navigate to the drive and back up all the data that you need: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/267999-32-recover-data-mode

Once you've done that, you can try to refresh your PC.
