Toshiba Tecra M2 beeps but wont come on?

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me please, my Toshiba tecra M2 will not boot up, this is as far as it goes.
When I plug in the charger and I press the on switch the fan will start then the 2 green lights will come on, one to show the power adapter is plugged in, 1 that looks like the shape of the cd rom caddy, and another green one flashes off and on, that’s the power one, then an orange one is lit that’s the battery one.

Nothing comes up on to the screen, and the only way to stop this is to take the battery out. Please help. **********

Hi there, it will just carry on beeping untill you take battery out, but today when i pressed ctrl alt delete it stopped beeping, then just beeped with each button i press. Does this sound familiar? Thanks in advance.
