my toshiba 53in tv model#53hx71will not turn on the red light keeps flashing

It's possible your convergence IC's have failed. Typically this trips 2 of 4 pico fuses and disables the set. If you have any other issues with the picture or performance, you may not want to put the money into repair. Talking $250-330.
