How to hook up a Toshiba Smart TV and an MXQ Pro k4 TV Box and get sound.

HDMI carries picture and sound. Check the audio settings on the android box. It may not be set to output audio over HDMI.
If your TV has an HDMI input that is also DVI it will have a separate audio input too. Then you will need to go into the TV menu and set that input to HDMI.
