Touchpad stopped working (emachines)

Hello,

everything in my touchpad is working except for when i tap my touch pad it does not respond(left click)...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Did it stop working or has it never worked? From what you say it is possible that the gesture associated with a "tap" hasn't been configured to do a left click, or do you mean that the actual touchpad "button" doesn't work? Can you be more explicit?

1.) Did it stop working or has it never worked?
- yes it stopped working.

2.) the gesture associated with a "tap" hasn't been configured to do a left click
- it has been configured to do a left click since just before it stopped it was still working.

3.)do you mean that the actual touchpad "button" doesn't work?
- not the button...its the touchpad itself.
