TRANSFERRING AOL FAVORITES

Hello,
WILL BE PURCHASING NEW PC - HOW DOES ONE TRANSFER AOL FAVORITES, E-MAILS, ETC. FROM OLD PC TO NEW ONE. BOTH PCs WORK OFF WIN XP O.S. PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS!

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

I suggest you edit out your e-mail address in case it falls into the hands of the Spamming brigade.

In AOL, export your Favorites then click on Save & Replace. This will allow you to save your file as a text document. Copy and paste that into Microsoft Excel or Works spreadsheet programme and save it as a .csv file - comma separated values - then in IE use the Import feature to import that file.

E-mail data can also be moved but is a bit harder.
