Trouble changing backlit keyboard with SteelSeries

I'm using an MSI GE62 Apache pro, and I wanted to change the keyboard colours on SteelSeries Engine 3. Loaded it up, looked under 'My Gear', and it shows MSI GE62 and MSI GE72, and says that neither are connected.Shouldn't my keyboard be on there automatically seeing as it's, y'know, built INTO the laptop? Or am I being dumb?

Did it work before or you just installed software? Its possible you need Engine 2 as I have a Sensei mouse and the latest version of the drivers cannot see my mouse when its plugged in. I just removed it as mouse has drivers built in and doesn't need them installed, but you may need engine number 2, not 3.
