Trouble installing Canon printer on Toshiba laptop.

I have a Sattellite L675 Windows 7 x64, model PSK3AC OFV00X. I recently purchased a Canon MG3500 series printer to connect to it via USB. It is not connecting. (Error messages are: An error occured while files were being copied 0001 0002 and Unable to install Canon MG3500 series printer- Type 3 - User mode x64 driver, Operation could not be completed error 0x00000057) I've heard that this is a problem with the Windows 7 on the Toshiba laptops. What is the solution to get the printer loaded? This printer is supposed to be Windows 7 64 bit compatible.

the CD come with printers drivers it should say what drivers support if not then http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/windows
