trouble installing windows 7

i have a asus x553m laptop. all drives were wiped so nothing left on any drives.

i am trying to install windows 7 on it.
i have entered bios and made it boot from disk first.
turned of secure boot
changed os to windows 7 (in bios setup)
disabled fast boot
enabled launch csm

it does the windows is loading files and then changes to starting windows and then it stops. and doesnt move again.

any ideas please.

What is your windows 7 installation on? CD? USB? Why aren't you making it check that first in BIOS?

its windows 7 and all sorted in bios.

i know asus x553m dont have drivers for windows 7 but i have managed to get it onto the laptop ,
i installed it over windows 8, not bothered about the drivers to much as i am going to upgrade it to windows 10, but now i have a new problem, my activation for windows 7 isnt working.
when i try and activate it all it says is, ---error details
using volume id (harddiskvolume2)
error finding your systems active partition

Did you make a partition on your hard drive before installing windows on it?

Also...is this a legitimate copy of windows 7?

problem solved,

yeah it was a legit copy. problem with windows 8 disk , managed to borrow 1 and use the code i had.
