If I let my laptop (2.5 yr old VIAO) sit off for 30 minutes, and then turn it on, it will run for 5-10 minutes before crashing because of what I assume to be loss of power. If I try to boot up right after it turns off, it runs for 10 seconds before crashing.
The battery is charged and the charger is hooked up. No difference.
I'm assuming this has to to with some sort of onboard PSU. I'm ignorant in the way of laptop hardware/architecture.
So, any ideas as to what's wrong and whether it is a viable option for me to crack it open and fix it?
