Try to connect a old receiver to a new hdtv

I have Samsung LED tv model number UN48J5000 and I want to connect a Onkyo receiver model HT-R540. Is there anyway possible to do that with out having to buy anything else?

Most likely it just needs a cable. Connect AUDIO-OUT/HEADPHONE to AUDIO-IN/LINE-IN/TAPE-IN/CD-IN/AUX-IN etc.

Or go to BestBuy and tell the sales person you need a Toslink optical cable.
