Trying to decide on a laptop

I have decided to get a Windows 8/8.1 laptop. Which should I get and why? Which is the better deal? Here:

Go for 1. It has a better GPU and a better CPU, which makes it vastly superior in performance.

EDIT: I just noticed 2 has a touch screen while 1 does not. If that's important or not is up to you.

My only concerns are that it may get hotter (not sure), it is at least a pound heavier, and battery life is 5 hours instead of 8. But other than that, I agree.

The weight is really up to personal preference. They both use 4-cell lithium-ion batteries (presumably the same model) so you would likely be able to eliminate the problems with battery life by setting the laptop into power saving mode. Not sure about the heat though but I would assume heat output also gets lower in power saving mode.

The laptop at Newegg has more powerfull components (better processor 4700MQ which is quad core) which mean have less battery life, run hotter and will handle the newer games better. The processor is integrated with Intel® HD graphics 4600.

The second laptop uses the 4500U 2 core processor built under powered but runs cooler and better battery life. the processor Ultra-low-voltage platform. Dual-core, four-way processing provides maximum high-efficiency power to go. The Intel integrated graphics of the 4500 is a little better with the Intel® HD graphics 5000 .

So if power is a concern go with the one at Newegg and if battey life and cooler are main cocerns go with the Best buy model.

The integrated graphics don't matter at all since they both have Nvidia Geforce cards (730m for the Bestbuy one and 745m for the Newegg one)

Are those your own words or did you pull them from Intel's website?
The point is that if a pc has a dedicated graphics card, it won't use the integrated graphics.
