Then you'll probably need a converter box that is more money than just buying a new DVD player with HDMI output on it if your TV has that.

Your DVD player:

Red and White RCA: Left and Right channel(s) audio out
Yellow RCA: Video out signal

What you want to look for on the TV, is a Left and Right RCA audio in and a single RCA video input. The colors are not so much important, as are the function of the output/input connections of the components.

It doesn't matter the color. Just put them in the correct spots and they'll work fine.
