Hey guys,

So I'm trying to sell my HP G61-327CL notebook that I've had for about 5 years. I haven't used it in about 2 years and it's been collecting dust in my closet.

I've decided to sell it in craigslist or something, and when I checked online to do some pricing research I couldn't find squat on it. Does anyone know what a reasonable price would be to sell this laptop? I was thinking around $100. Or is that too low?

The fact that it's been off the market for quite awhile would explain why you can't find prices for it. $100 is probably on the high side, if anything, judging from the specs I'm finding online.

Hmm okay. We'll see..

Another question: Will a system format from the boot screen erase all my data before I sell it? I don't have the OS cd to wipe everything and reinstall it

What boot screen? Can't get there without the OS CD, unless you're talking about something else. And even if you wipe everything how do you expect to sell a laptop without an OS considering you don't have the original install disk?

The boot screen as in when you first turn on any laptop or desktop and it gives you the option to press f10 (or f12 can't remember which one) to reformat your computer to factory settings.
