trying to watch black panther..

I have a blu ray disc player, and I have connected it to my laptop using an hDMI cord. It isn't working, is it supposed to work?

only if the laptop have hdmi input, most of them only have hdmi output

Yeah, that's a very strong no. The HDMI on the laptop is going to be out and not in as far as signal. If you want to watch it, you're going to need to hook that player to a TV.
