Yes. I am talking about my browser. It isn't my browser that suddenly went out looking for notifications to pick up from somewhere and happened to find Tom's Hardware. Tom's Hardware is deliberately taking control of my browser to send me material about their web site. This material is displayed over top of my selected display and remains there there until I stop what I am doing and manually close the popup. Since it appears sometimes when some of my devices are making changes, it actually interferes with the operation of my computer as I have it configured.

I want Tom's Hardware to stop interfering with my computer. I don't want to change my browser to eliminate a capability because Tom's Hardware is exploiting it. I want Tom's Hardware to stop infecting my computer.

Same problem here -- and I am losing it. I have unsubscribed to Tom's Guide, but had to resubscribe to try and get an answer/complain by re-posting this ongoing problem. Pop-ups are incessant and interfering with my computer useage (some of which is business-related). Can you say seriously annoyed here?

Wrote to an email contact for help, but like most, I will be highly surprised to receive a reply back or any help of real value.

Just an addendum if it's of any help to getting help here with this. The notifications come from: tomsguide@onesignal.com

I cannot find anything to link me to one signal -- they do seem to be a separate entity, yet notifications show the TG blue logo??

Help -- this is unwanted, and somehow I feel is being forced upon me as a user, with no easy solution to remedy if it's something I don't want, or want to continue. It's like being hijacked!

I'll take it up with the paid staff but the norm is that registered members do not see adverts. I certainly haven't seen one for years unless I use a diffeent browser and am not logged in. I see them then by the dozen so I do feel for you folks.

Isabel_7, you had an explanation addresseed in a thread to your alternative account and you seemed satisfied on the Nootifications. As to adverts, would you mind registering to see if that gets rid ofthe adverts. Then I might be able to settle things with Myshkin.

I do recall posting prior if that's what you might be referring to (not sure it was an alternate account, just that this go-round, I had to reactivate to post here. Having said that, I recall following some suggestion that was made to me with the understanding that would solve the issue at that time, but it hadn't, and some days, just continually "in my face", that I'm thinking, boy, I've got to get to the bottom of stopping this, because it really interferes on my end. And, I don't profess to be fully tech savy, but do feel I have a good understanding to navigate and usually problem solve these types of issues in past situations, but this one seems more complex to solve and get to the crux of where it is originating from. And, that is what I'm thinking here is causing the problem -- maybe? Like, some sort of third party? I don't understand who the "one signal" is at all. Does that resonate with the people at Tom's Guide in any way?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and/or help. I went into a few different areas, and finally I have been able to disable more from coming through, so problem is solved -- YEAH!

It's really a easy solution. Next time you get a notification, simply hit toms guide.onestart.com, you unsubscribe from there. Toms guide reminds me of a virus that cannot be removed. Great website, annoying notifications.
