Tv or Monitor for gaming ?

What should i buy a Tv or a monitor for gaming

Will it effect the graphics of the game if i play on a tv or a monitor ?

I was thinking about buying a 32 inch 1080p Tv for about £270

Or i could buy a 32 inch HD ready for about £199 maybe cheaper

So the question is which One ?
