Theres no such thing as usb audio. You'll need to output L/R RCA from your set top box to the DAV inputs. It will be stereo, not surround.

Edit: if TV has RCA out could run that to the DAV then whatever source you're watching would be stereo over the theater.

Many Sony TVs have hybrid headphone/line level audio output that you would connect to the HTS. Select a surround sound mode that is for a stereo input,
Or you could use a digital to analog converter if the TV has a coax or optical digital audio output.
