TV wont tune channels in new home

I've just moved in to my new home and plugged my television in, all the cables are ok but it says that it failed to pick up any channels, could it be my cable?

How do you receive programming - thru antennae, or cable provider?
If you are using antenna - check with your neighbors what antenna they are using, and what direction it is oriented
