Unable to get Internet to play on TV via HDMI from Laptop

I connect Laptop to TV via HDMI cable. The Desktop screen shows on the TV and the sound runs through the TV and Laptop, but when I connect to the internet, to play a Youtube clip, the video only plays on the laptop and the TV screen still shows the Laptop Desktop screen. No problem with the sound. Can anyone tell me how to fix this please?

Drag the browser screen to the TV screen. Nothing is wrong here, you just need to move the windows to the correct screen you want it on.

Thanks for this... however, I've tried dragging the shortcut of the Chrome browser, on my laptop, on to the screen but all it does is bring up a Pop up menu to choose from my recent searches etc. I have Windows 10. How do I actually drag the browser screen to the TV screen? The TV does not have a touch screen. I'm not too tech savvy as you can see.

.... Okay, I've played around with it and now have managed to get the cursor onto the TV screen.... and you're right, it's now fixed!!
