Unable to remove speaker covers on HTC One M8

I've tried following this guide to remove the speaker covers on my HTC One M8 but have had no luck in doing so:

I used an iOpener according to this guide:

I then attempted to remove the speaker covers with a plastic opening tool but the cover did not come loose.

I'm trying to replace the Micro USB port by swapping out the board that it shares with the headphone jack.

I see. Yeah you would definitely have to open it for that.

Here are a few different videos that might help. Sometimes 'seeing' it done is better than just reading about it. People often leave out small steps when writing things.

These should help make it much simpler (well as simple as it can be!). While both videos are detailed, I personally like the first one better as he explains what he is doing and why. Another thing lacking in text explanations.
