I was trying to unlock my 1800xp+, I think I have all the contacts together... anyways, now my cpu runs default and only at a multiplier of 11.0 instead of 11.5, did I screw up the cpu or maybe I just havent connected all the l1 bridges? can any1 help? thanks.

I have the ASUS A7V266-E and an unlocked XP1800+. The answer is look on page
20 4), of the manual. Move the jumpers from Palomino 1-2 to Athlon/Duron 2-3.
You will then be able to raise your multiplier.

Jumpers are already on 1-2, first I couldnt change multiplier from 11.5 and now fiddling around with cpu I cant change from 11.0, think its the cpu contacts? If I only connect the first L1 contact row what would happen? I think only the first one may be connected....

You can't change the multiplier with the jumpers set on 1-2.

If you want to adjust the multiplier after you unlock the XP you have to move
the jumpers to 2-3. It is a quirk of the board.

It will still recognize it as an XP and all functions will
work.

You can check to see if you are totaly unlocked by lowering the
multiplier. If it will lower below 10, you are unlocked.
