my laptop suddenly shut down last week with a blue screen with letters and figures in a line yesterday it shut down once. Today every few mins but it switches on normally when I press the button - whats wrong - at first tonight the touch pad was very warm and the top right hand side but subsequently it feels normal only slightly warm in two patches.

Well if its warm, it could be overheating. Also you ram or hard drive might be bad.

Here try using this to test your ram
