Unjailbreak and save apps.

my friend has an ipod touch and he woud like to unjailbreak it. any way to do this and save apps/ and there data. if not where can i get the 3.1.3 firmware????

Depends.
Does your friend has original apps or cracked apps? I cant' help you with the later one because of the piracy but for the first one,you can easily back them up in your HDD and then when you jailbreak and restore it,iTunes will ask you whether to use those backups or not.

ok so all i have to do is plug it in and do a backup of the ipod touch???? then restore it and then restore it from the backup???

ok thanks, do you know where i can get the 3.1.3 firmware??? i do not want to upgrade his ipod touch to 4.2. it slows the 2nd gen ipod battery life way down.
