Solved! "Unknown charge remaining" - Battery won't tell me how much is left

Hi,
I have a Lenovo V130 (the new, 2018 (I think??) model) and it has been absolutely fine up until this evening.

I left my laptop closed for a little while and prior to this, the battery % was showing on the status bar. However, when I came back, it had changed to the red X you can see pictured below:

When I go into my bottom right hand options and hover over the battery icon, I get this message:

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have so far tried restarting and forcibly shutting down the laptop. A few online sources say to take the battery out and drain it, but I don't have access to a screwdriver right now to open up the base.

Wait till you do have access to a screwdriver, if re-seating the battery does not help, contact Lenovo support.

Thank you, I actually ended up fixing it! Was just that I hadn't updated my drivers for a while. Whoops!
