Unlock asus m4n75td

i bought this board had 8800gts in sli,
i have recently replaced with single gtx560ti, but my board only has single gpu at pcie x 8
is it possible to change somehow to pcie x 16,
as it runs dual cards at pcie x8 x8,
or is it a physical limitation in the design of the board, thankyou

It is a PCIe 16x slot.

Also, a 560Ti will not use anywhere near the capacity of an 8x slot anyways. The dual GPU behemoth GTX 590 barely fills up x8

thanks i was thinking about overclocking card, couldnt see the point though if the slot would bottle neck it

Even an OC would not touch the total bandwidth of the slot
