unlock sprint galaxy s5 and use on virgin mobile

I contacted sprint customer support and they said my phone could not be unlocked. I'm switching back to virgin mobile which is a sprint entity and want to keep my sprint phone.

Why can't your phone be unlocked? Only way they won't is you owe them money or are in a contract, the phone was bought from someone that sole it and it's blocked or from someone that owes Sprint money.

Not stolen, no debt or contract. They said "some" Galaxy S5's cannot be unlocked.
