unlocked need 4G

Purchased Unlocked Samsung LTE 5 smart phone. Using T mobile. Cannot get phone to operate @ 4G. Will either indicate 3G or GSM...I am a cell novice...can you help?

What model cellphone is it? What carrier's network in what country?

If it's an Android phone, there's an option in the settings for 'Preferred Network type'. Select 'LTE'.
